Twitter and creative writing

On Ian Hocking's blog he is doing an interesting experiment with Twitter. He is going to be daily posting from his main characters POV as he writes his third novel. Here's his post explaining the concept and the feed for your RSS reader. I like this idea it is a lot more communicative than the "I wrote 500 words and revised 1000 today" sort of posts that for some reason writers feel the need to put up on their blogs.
