Interesting analysis
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part One) thoughts on the box office potential. I agree that the boycott aspect although vocal online won't amount to much in the end.

Language: Bloody H-1; G/OMG-3
This is the most unintentionally funny Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie review I've come across in my wanderings. Dunn not surprisingly by a puritanical Christian outfit. I think if George Carlin was still with us he would very much enjoy the concept of "Mild cleavage".

Vatican on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
According to MSNBC they didn't out right despise it. Actually liked the good vs. evil story line. Although there was some complaining that there's no mention of the "transcendent".

Emma Watson in stockings
Yes I'm a bad person for doing this to attract page views. Well at least I didn't use "nude" in the subject line. Enough stalling here you go. and here.

Guilty verdict in Rob Knox case
A man who repeatedly stabbed 18-year-old Harry Potter actor Rob Knox outside a bar in south-east London has been found guilty of murder.
Sounds like it wasn't the most difficult conviction to get but still nice to see that the system works. Sentencing of Karl Bishop is tomorrow. They sure are fast in the UK.

Daniel Radcliffe's stunt double 'paralysed'
Some sad news from the Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows set. David Holmes Radcliffe's stunt double was paralyzed when caught in an explosion during filming. We can only hope that this is temporary. From the Daily Mail.

Deathly Hallows to 7 on LibraryThing
One of the metrix I've been keeping track of since the release of Deathly Hallows was how long it would take for it to reach the 7 position on LibraryThing's top books list. I just noticed that it has reached that level. It took about 1 1/2 years. The number of copies is larger than The Da Vinci Code. Harry Potter books now hold the top seven positions. The series is out of order.

The Tales of Beedle the Bard by J. K. Rowling
The Tales of Beedle the Bard by J. K. Rowling
is the latest book in the Harry Potter universe. Let's get one thing out of the way you're not going to buy this thing because I told you to either you don't care or you've probably already received your copy through pre-order. So I feel rather silly reviewing it. On the other hand I did read it.
As you know Bob, this was the book mentioned in Deathly Hallows. It contains Wizard fairytales with an introduction and meditations from the recently deceased Dumbledore. The stories themselves nicely tie in to the universe Rowling has created. The "academic framework" is funny in places. Especially if you're used to academic infighting in a preface or footnotes.
Recommended!

What to do when you're children's movie premiere is getting dull
If you're Emma Watson you can start musing on when you're going to get naked on film. We've already seen [pun intended] this with Daniel Radcliffe in Equus. I can remember the kerfuffle when that went down. I shudder to think of just what would happen if she does stripped-down at some point.
"Why are there a lot of people here wearing scarves and carrying broomsticks at this art-house premiere?"
Considering my love-hate relationship with Google all I need is to get a high ranking for Emma Watson nude. If you did search on that sorry I can't hook you up. You can explain to me what she's doing in this picture...
